In order to answer these questions, you can do a very simple exercise. Go to every part of your business and see what happens in terms of speed. You should notice the following:

1. How fast does every member of your staff move? (e.g. Do they complete the work they are doing or do they delay and have difficulty getting things done?)

2. How long does a customer have to wait for a service of any kind? (e.g. how long a customer is waiting for their reception or headset to be served?)

3. What is the speed of internal communications? (e.g. how quickly a note or command reaches the intended person?).

After observing the above and taking notes, arrange a meeting with your staff and find ways to speed things up.
